What We Believe

We believe in one God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; three in one, eternally existent.

We believe that the bible is God's holy, inspired word, completely infallible and authoritative.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of the world, and that on the third day He was resurrected, and that He is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

We believe in the imminent and personal return of Jesus Christ in power and glory.

We believe that all who trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and His atoning sacrifice shall have eternal life.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with His present day manifestation of the gifts as recorded in 1 Corinthians chapters 12 and 14.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved to life eternal with the Lord and the lost to damnation.

We recognize that God has established all authority in the church, and that His government is administered through appointed leaders within each local assembly and within the Body of Christ at large. We at South Carroll Full Gospel Church are led by a plurality of elders as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. We also believe that this leadership form recognizes Christ as the preeminent head and everyone else as members of His Body, with each contributing to the edification of the church according to the gifts and callings distributed by God's Holy Spirit. In that manner, we are all mutually submitted to one another that Jesus Christ may reveal Himself to the world.
