"providing living proof of a loving God to a wounded and waiting world

Missions

At Christ Care Church, we have a desire to fulfill the mandate of Jesus - to go into the world, and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:6-11) We endeavor to accomplish this through prayer and material support of those we know personally and with whom we have on going relationship. We also support those who go on short-term missions, often getting involved both financially and with prayer support as opportunities are presented to our Christ Care Church Missions Committee.

In our effort to be good stewards, of the finances the Lord has entrusted to us, (from gifts, tithes and offerings) we do support the following missions and folks on a monthly basis:

The Ministry Of Jesus.

MOJ provides the compassion of Jesus and ministry to those less fortunate (in areas of farming, school, clothing, job training). In those communities where Churches are planted, leadership is then established with ongoing leadership training, in both Benin and Togo, Africa. South Carroll Full Gospel Church first became involved with MOJ, when Tom and Joan Beak presented this ministry to us in the late 1980's. In 1995, we sent out one our families to Togo as full time missionaries (The Yarians) to work with the ongoing efforts of The Ministry of Jesus. The following web link has more information, we invite you to explore: http://www.theministryofjesus.com/

New Life for Girls, Westminster, MD.

New Life for Mothers and Children, Glen Rock, PA.

Both of these are local women's recovery ministries (from abuse, addictions, etc), which we have been involved with since 1982. Since that time, Pastors Tito and Susan Matos have been directors of the ministry at New Life in Westminster, and Leo Tate has provided oversight to the Glen Rock housing and training ministry to women and their children. South Carroll Full Gospel Church has participated with these ministries with their Vacation Bible School, missions, evangelist out-reach efforts, building and grounds upgrades, as well as special interactions such as parties and gifts at Christmas time. Jamaica Pre-School

Pastor Leroy Gordon, Catadupa Jamaica

South Carroll Ful Gospel Church has gone on several missions’ trips to Jamaica. Since that first time in 1994, we have supported a children's school and Pastor Leroy Gordon, who provides  oversight to several churches (which are off the beaten path). The Christian Fellowship Church of Catadupa is the location of the school and one of the churches. The school provides meals and teaching to equip younger children to be established in their walk with Jesus, as well as helping prepare them for the public school system. We invite you to go the following link (which is provided by Experience Mission.org) : http://experiencemission.org/CommunityPage.asp?CommID=007E91CA-577B-4960-B41B-C3C5343FEA8F    This will allow you to read about the Experience Missions ministry. Mike Albro:

We have a special relationship with Mike Albro, who serves as director of Second Street and Hope Ministry in Frederick MD (which is based out of Centennial Memorial Methodist). This ministry provides worship services, teaching of the Word, meals, and fellowship on Saturday evenings in downtown Frederick, MD. There are also other ministry opportunities during the week, like the Celebrate Recovery Group. Our SC folks have a weekly opportunity to share the love of Jesus by helping with this ministry to the homeless and to those folks less fortunate than ourselves.
